Medicare Revalidation Deadline EXTENDED!

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has extended the window for nursing homes to file off-cycle Medicare revalidation documents until Jan. 1, 2026. It marks the third postponement and averts a previously announced Aug. 1 deadline.

Information is also available on the CMS website here.  This document provides CMS instruction regarding the FORM CMS-855A along with communication on the deadline update.  “Regardless of when the SNF received its notice of revalidation letter from its MAC (i.e., October, November, or December), the revalidation application due date for ALL SNFs – irrespective of the state in which they are located -- is January 1, 2026.”

Aetna Medicare FDR Attestation & MOC Training- Aetna is sending out a reminder notice to providers regarding their 2025 Medicare FDR Attestation & MA/D-SNP MOC Training.  It is a CMS requirement that Special Needs Plans provide a Model of Care training to contracted providers and verify compliance.  This link will take you to the Aetna website where you will find more information on the Medicare Compliance and Attestation process.

This training needs to be completed by each provider since you must review the model of care training.  Once the training is finished, you can complete the attestation using this link.  Or you can use the link on the email you will receive directly from Aetna. 

You will find a link to all the training resources here as well.  The noted deadline is October 31^st.

IHSN DUES REMINDER-

Dues statements for the 2025-2026 IHSN Fiscal Year were sent in early July.  The IHSN contract year run July-June.  Along with the dues statement is an update Participation and Operating Agreement, we ask that this signed and sent back with your dues remit.  We appreciate in advance your prompt submission of both.
