Hello IHSN members.  We hope that you have all been enjoying a wonderful Spring and that you are ready for the May flowers these April showers are said to promise.  We have a few updates we want to share; please see below.

IHSN was made aware, in early April, that residents at some facilities were receiving notifications that the facility was no longer in network with Anthem.  This letter references the facility as the PCP and pertains to both the Medicare Advantage and Pathways programs.  In response, ISHN reached out directly to Anthem and learned this memo was sent to residents in error and noted that the facility would not be the PCP.  IHSN asked for guidance the facility could share with the residents to put their mind at ease the following was provided: 

“… you could advise the member to disregard the letter.  The letter was sent in error as your facility is not considered their PCP.  The member can reach out to member services using the number on the back of their id card. “

Humana Annual Compliance Training. 

IHSN did reach to confirm, upon receipt, that this was a training required of all IHSN members participating in Pathways.  It is indeed and therefore we did remove one line from the email that was received as listed what Humana noted was an arbitrary effective date.  Please make time to ensure that your facility completes the annual requirements noted below.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and state Medicaid contracts require all Humana-contracted healthcare providers to complete annual compliance trainings. Providers may fulfill this requirement by attending the live webinar listed on the training calendar for-Provider Orientation. For your convenience, compliance training requirements can be reviewed at Indiana Medicaid: Provider - Compliance Requirements while all other compliance training materials/resources can be viewed at Humana Healthy Horizons in Indiana Training Resources.
